BRUCKMAYER, which consists in replacing usual horizontal mortar joints in brickwork by vitrified wood-wool slabs known as Novadam, about 2 m long and 1 cm to 1 1/2 cm thick. cut to same width as bricks. See also Engineering Index 1936 p 131.
