Piles in cohesionless soil subject to oblique pull
In laboratory tests steel piles were embedded or driven at various angles in cohesionless soils and subjected to pull 60° from horizontal; among factors influencing ultimate resistance are initial pile inclination and roughness of pile surface; method for analyzing nonlinear load-displacement relationship of rigid pile is presented.
