Experimental and analytical investigation into flexural strength of platform-like reinforced concrete foundations; magnitude of collapse load for rectangular raft in terms of yield moment is computed for wide range of values of 3 different parameters, characterizing contact pressure distribution, ratio of sides and coefficient of orthotropy; tests carried out on reinforced plaster mortar slabs supported on springs confirm soundness of structural analysis based on yield line theory.
