Intersecting ribs carry concrete roof shell
Roof of terminal building at Lambert-St Louis Municipal airport consists of three identical domes formed by intersecting circular barrel arches which, in plan, form 8-sided figure; domes consist of reinforced concrete shells 4 1/2 in. thick, with stiffening ribs; building is 415 ft long, 123 ft wide and three stories high, with utility space below grade.
