Rebuilding of south jetty of port of Havre
Rebuilding of 160 m long section destroyed during World War II is described; core of jetty is made up of trapezoidal body of natural loose rock dump of 100 to 1000 kg unit weight which overlays debris of old structure; inner and outer batter is covered with rock dump of 500 to 3000 kg unit weight; protecting outer shell is two layers of concrete tetrapods weighing 8 tons each; jetty is capped with prefabricated concrete blocks.
