Regression techniques are used to determine some significant factors affecting slope of sediment deposition profile above gully-control structures and debris dams; analyses of field data on gully-control structures in Wisconsin and debris dams in California show that original channel slope, width of channel at structure, and height of spillway crest above original thalweg are statistically significant variables.
