Dynamic investigation of shock-absorber rubber
Experimental investigation of deformation of rubber after impact; initial strain rate of up to 5 m/sec is obtained from standard impact testing machines with specially developed attachment; ratio of dynamic modulus of elasticity of rubber to static modulus has been determined as function of deformation rate for forward (compression) and reverse (recoil) action of shock absorber; dependence for forward action differs considerably (1.7 times) from same dependence for reverse action.
