Causes of premature disintegration of magnesite-chromite bricks in roof arches of open hearth furnaces
It was established that mechanical disintegration of bricks is caused by continuous dynamic loading of thrust force; intensification of steelmaking process increases number and force of dynamic loading and accelerates disintegration; it is suggested that suspension system should provide for amortization of arch.
