Structural design of reinforced concrete biological shields
Efficient concrete shield for nuclear reactor should have high density, hydrogen content of about 1/2% by weight which is not affected by temperature changes in working range, and should be capable of use structurally with minimum of additional supporting members; calculation of temperature gradients and stresses; permissible crack width; construction procedures. (See also - discussion p 485-95)
