Investigation of running of deep gated outlet works from reservoirs
Experimental research on models for several deep gated outlet works of Venetian Region (Italy) to examine operation of these devices, especially in relation to air demand of flow; note summarizes results obtained in outlets of Vaiont, Mis and Lumiei dams, all having high-velocity free surface flow in tunnels downstream of gates; general evaluation of complex phenomenon is derived, useful for proper design of this type of works.
