Investigation of methods of preparing horizontal construction joints in concrete
Strength tests were performed with 24 2-ft concrete cube in two 12-in. lifts utilizing cores from each cube to evaluate effect of iron stain on horizontal construction joint; results indicated that strong concentration of iron stain on joint does not significantly affect shear and flexural strengths of joint.
