Hydraulic floor lifting technique in skeleton structures
In recently erected eight-story building, conventional construction methods were used for substructure up to floor slab of third floor; further five floor slabs including roof slab were concreted on third floor slab one upon another, forming 250×2×104 cm thick 620-ton stack of slabs; this stack was lifted successively to corresponding floors using automatically controlled set of 15 hydraulic lifting devices which could be fixed in any position along columns; details of floor construction and lifting operation.
