Model study on change of shoreline of sandy beach by offshore breakwater
Results of experiment made to clarify changes of shoreline taking place by construction of offshore breakwater, amount of sand deposits within region sheltered by breakwater and sand movement at beach through progress of beach deformation up to accomplishment of equilibrium profile; initial profiles are made by waves of two kinds of wave steepness and new equilibrium profile of sandy beach is formed by again sending wave of same steepness after construction of offshore breakwater.
