Investigation of three-dimensional seepage flow in sheeted excavation in open waters
Description of experiments carried out with help of three-dimensional electric analog model of circular excavation in order to determine amount of seepage, and to calculate required depth of pile driving for preventing hydraulic collapse of soil around excavation; results can be extended to square and other excavation shapes by applying form factors; results are compared with those computed with simplified formulas given by H.Weber.
