Limit design of continuous reinforced concrete crane girders
Principles of optimum limit design are applied to 4-span continuous beams acted on by pair of moving concentrated loads; moment and shear redistribution in reinforced concrete continuous crane girders are studied; plastic moment and shear values are derived and design coefficients are tabulated for practical use; results are illustrated for three ratios of crane wheel distance to girder span.
