Investigation of properties of cement made hydrophobic by addition of organosilicon liquid GKZh-94; portland cement may be made hydrophobic by addition of 0.04 to 0.15% of polyethylsiloxane as admixture; liquid acts as grinding aid, improves strength of mortar and fully protects cement exposed to moist air for at least 2 mo; data on cement properties and compressive strengths of 1:3 mortars given.
