Use of extruded polystyrene foam for insulation of outside walls of two 16-story apartment houses; insulation panels are attached to 15 cm thick, concrete walls with mixture of portland cement mortar plus addition of latex bonding material mixed into mortar; during two year period since building was completed, 25 to 30% in heating-costs have been saved compared with buildings having 36 cm-thick brick walls.
