New road intersection in England separates turning traffic from both north-south and east-west through traffic, and gives special attention to safety of pedestrians and convenience of bus passengers; intersection features overpass consisting of 3 continuous spans of 80, 110 and 80 ft of cast in situ concrete prestressed by 7 1/2 in. strand cables; site conditions, pavements, lighting, heating cables, problems are described.
