A WINDOW CHAIN WINDER A window chain winder (10) having a hollow body (11) including a top (front) portion (12) and a rear panel (13). The inner end extremity of the chain (17) has an abutment (22). Mounted on the body (24) is an abutment engaging member (23) that is locatable in a retracted position allowing the abutment (22) to pass thereby, and an engagement position at which the engaging member (23) engages the abutment (22). Engagement of the engaging member (23) with the abutment (22) limits the length of chain (11) that projects from within the body (24).
