Improvements in or in relation to suspended ceilings
A suspended ceiling assembly 10 comprising brackets 11 attached to roof beams 12, hanging rods 13, main divider bars 14 along with T-bars 15 forming a grid holding ceiling tiles 16. The grid in this case is in the main 1200mm x 600mm. Wall rails 17 including wall rail units 18 and a corner unit 19. The corner unit is configured to fit an internal corner and has legs 20 and 21 and a corner section 22. The wall is not shown but it will be appreciated that the wall rails are secured to a near wall having an internal corner with an included angle of 900. The corner section 19 is prefabricated so that it may simply be applied to the internal wall corner and the straight sections 18 may be fitted in abutment or welded or otherwise secured to ends 23 to form joints 24 between corner section 19 and straight sections 18. The legs 20 and 21 may be of any suitable length but are relatively short, in Figure 1 they are about 300 mm long. Figure 2 shows another embodiment of a corner unit 25, in this case fitted to an external wall corner having an excluded angle of 2700. In this case the legs 26 and 27 are about 600 mm long and the corner section 28 has a conventional mitred joint 29 welded up at the factory so that the legs 26 and 27 are long enough to bend slightly to tolerate variations in the corner angle of typically 1 0-20 or thereabouts. ~ ~ x: ~ ~iIJ ------- -
