Disclosed herein is a module for a modular stair stringer. The module comprises a tread support portion for supporting a tread thereon and an attachment portion via which a second module is attachable to the module. When the second module is attached to the module, a tread support portion of the second module is offset from and substantially parallel to the tread support portion of the module.
