The invention relates to a flap fitting (10) for furniture, having a lever mechanism (16) comprising multiple levers (17, 19) for guiding a flap of the furniture, wherein the lever mechanism (16) is retracted at least partly into a housing (11) of the lever fitting (10) in a closed position. The flap fitting (16) is characterized in that an auxiliary element (20) is releasably secured to one of the levers (17, 19) of the lever mechanism (16). The auxiliary element (20) has a locking section (22) which blocks a movement of the lever (17, 19) relative to the housing (11) in a locking position. After the lock of the auxiliary element is released, the auxiliary element is pivotally secured to one of the levers (17, 19) of the lever mechanism (16) in order to extend the lever mechanism (16) out of the opening (12) by pulling the auxiliary element (20).
