There is disclosed a brace adapted to be fixed to members of a building frame in a diagonal orientation, the brace comprising a strip which can be received against members of the frame to assume a said orientation and is configured therealong with markings juxtaposable with an axis parallel to which said members extend to indicate an angle between the axis and the strip so received.
