The invention relates to a method for storing a cryogenic fluid (1), implementing a tank (2) including at least one vessel (3) capable of containing the cryogenic fluid (1), the method including the following steps: a) placing the tank (2) on, in, or partially in soil (4) including permafrost (5); b) feeding the cryogenic fluid (1) into the vessel (3); and c) exchanging heat between the cryogenic fluid (1) and the soil (4), in order to freeze and/or keep a portion (8) of the soil (4) frozen, such that said portion (8) of the soil (4) can be used as the foundation for the tank (2).
Procédé de stockage d'un fluide cryogénique (1), mettant en uvre un réservoir (2) comprenant au moins une cuve (3) apte à contenir le fluide cryogénique (1), le procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : a) mise en place du réservoir (2) sur, dans, ou partiellement dans, un sol (4) comprenant du pergélisol (5); b) injection du fluide cryogénique (1) dans la cuve (3); et c) échange thermique entre le fluide cryogénique (1) et le sol (4), pour geler et/ou maintenir en gel une portion (8) du sol (4), de façon à ce que ladite portion (8) du sol (4) serve de fondation au réservoir (2).
