A shotcrete composition includes a cement, a fine aggregate, a coarse aggregate and water. The shotcrete composition also includes a magnesium aluminosilicate material, a colloidal silica material, and a MgO/Ca0 blend. The MgO/Ca0 blend is present in an amount of between 2.5% and 5% of the amount of dry cement, and the MgO/Ca0 blend is between 2% and 6% Ca0 by weight.
