The invention provides a light refractory brick. Crystalline phases comprise a corundum-mullite phase and a magnesium aluminate spinel phase. The light refractory brick is prepared from raw materials, namely, powder, an inorganic binding agent and a pore-forming agent, through firing wherein the powder comprises components as follows: 13wt%-28wt% of binding clay, 20wt%-35wt% of magnesium aluminate spinel, 20wt%-40wt% of aggregate, 5wt%-25wt% of high-temperature aluminum oxide, 3wt%-10wt% of an expanding agent and 5wt%-15wt% of activated aluminum oxide; the total mass of the powder is taken as a reference, the mass of the inorganic binding agent accounts for 2wt%-10wt% of the total mass of the powder, and the mass of the pore-forming agent accounts for 1wt%-15wt% of the total mass of the powder. The light refractory brick has higher high-temperature resistance.
