The invention discloses a stably running hydraulic tamping machine which comprises a flexible rail clamping walking wheel, wherein a middle plate and a wheel frame are arranged in an adjusting base of the flexible rail clamping walking wheel; a guide pillar is arranged between the middle plate and the wheel frame; the middle plate and the wheel frame can respectively move up and down along the guide pillar; a locking handle passes through the adjusting base and the middle plate in turn; a spring sleeves the lower part of the locking handle and is located between the middle plate and the wheel frame; a bottom surface walking wheel is arranged on the lower end part of the wheel frame; lateral connecting arms are symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the upper part of the adjusting base; a lateral connecting rod is hinged to an outer end part of each lateral connecting arm; a lateral auxiliary wheel is arranged on the lower end part of each lateral connecting rod; a frame mounting component is arranged on the lower end part of the adjusting base; the two ends of the frame mounting component are respectively hinged to the middle parts of the corresponding lateral connecting rods; during a working process, the bottom surface walking wheel is in contact with the upper surface of a rail, and meanwhile, the two lateral auxiliary wheels are respectively arranged on the left and right sides of the rail.
