The invention discloses an artificial quartzite plate and a manufacturing method thereof. The artificial quartzite plate is composed of the following components in percentage by mass: 2-10% of 6-8-mesh quartz sand, 10-20% of 8-16-mesh quartz sand, 5-10% of 16-26-mesh quartz sand, 5-10% of 26-40-mesh quartz sand, 15-25% of 40-100-mesh quartz sand, 20-40% of 325-mesh quartz powder, 2-5% of cullet, 2-5% of 6-8-mesh shell, 5-8% of unsaturated resin, 3-6% of fiber, 2-5% of pigment, 0.1-5% of coupling agent and 0.1-5% of curing agent. The artificial quartzite plate, which is prepared from quartzite, quartz sand, waste glass and shell with various particle sizes as well as the unsaturated resin, is environment-friendly and economical. The artificial quartzite plate prepared by the manufacturing method has excellent physical properties and chemical properties. Especially, the fiber is added, so that the artificial quartzite plate has favorable compression resistance and fracture resistance.
