The invention relates to a method for preparing wood ceramic. The method comprises the following steps: 1, preparing raw materials; 2, mixing, and drying; 3, carrying out preliminary molding; and 4, carrying out charring molding: carrying out high temperature charring on an impurity-removed dried body in inert atmosphere, rising the temperature to 150DEG C, carrying out heat insulation at 15MPa for 30min, sequentially rising the temperature to 250DEG C, 600DEG C, 800DEG C, 1000DEG C, 1200DEG and 1600DEG C, carrying out heat insulation at each of the above temperature points for 50min, and carrying out reduced pressure cooling to room temperature to obtain a finished product. The wood ceramic prepared in the invention has the advantages of light weight, porosity, high specific strength, high specific surface area, good electromagnetic performances, strong thermal shock resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and small expansion coefficient; and the preparation method has the advantages of simple process, high yield, scrap rate reduction and production cost reduction.
