The invention relates to a method for preparing high-purity Cr2AlC ceramic powder. The method comprises the following steps of weighting metal Cr powder, Al powder and Cr3C2 powder according to a ratio and placing metal Cr powder, Al powder and Cr3C2 powder into a zirconium oxide ball-milling tank for carrying out mixing and ball milling with anhydrous ethanol as a ball-milling medium, drying ball-milled powder and feeding into a corundum crucible, under vacuum and pressure-free conditions, heating the powder from room temperature to 1150 DEG C-1300 DEG C at a certain heating speed, carrying out heat treatment and cooling the powder in a furnace to room temperature to obtain high-purity Cr2AlC ceramic powder. The method has the characteristics of simplicity in operation, low cost and low synthesis temperature.
