Inorganic fiber thermal insulation material and preparation method thereof
The invention relates to a preparation method of an inorganic fiber thermal insulation material. The process comprises the steps of: soaking pre-sintered inorganic fiber into a slurry to conduct pressurization or vacuum condition treatment, then placing the soaked fiber in a die to conduct compression molding, and finally carrying out drying treatment so as to obtain the material. The used soaking slurry is composed of the following raw materials: 10-50wt.% of an inorganic binder, 0.1-10wt.% of an additive and 20-95wt.% of water. The inorganic binder can be silica sol or other inorganic binder with silicon as the main element and aluminum sol, or any one of them. The additive can be titanium dioxide and potassium hexatitanate whisker, or any one of them. The inorganic fiber thermal insulation material prepared by the invention has the characteristics of simple operation and low cost, can be subjected to cutting, shaving, drilling and other processing by mechanical equipment, and also can be made into other special-shaped products. The products have uniform inner and outer strength distribution, is convenient to construct, and has good high temperature use performance.
