The invention discloses an antifreeze aerated concrete block and a preparation method thereof. The antifreeze aerated concrete block is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 40-60 parts of tailing sand, 25-45 parts of waste brick scrap, 18-29 parts of coal gangue, 24-32 parts of fluoraluminate cement, 17-26 parts of shell powder, 10-15 parts of scrap tire rubber powder, 0.5-1 part of zinc naphthenate, 5-10 parts of calcium superphosphate, 4-8 parts of Arabic gum powder, 2-4 parts of ammonium bicarbonate, 1.5-2 parts of modified aluminum powder, 4-6 parts of sodium metaaluminate, 2-3 parts of casein, 2-4 parts of diethylene glycol and 3-5 parts of lithium acetate. The aerated concrete block disclosed by the invention is high in antifreeze capacity, high in compression strength, low in water absorption rate and high in wear resistance, can operate under severe cold conditions for a long time and is crack-free and durable in use. Moreover, the aerated concrete block has the advantages of simple preparation process, easily available raw materials, low production cost and environment friendliness.
