The invention discloses a compound investment casting refractory material which has a particle size of 30-300 mm, and uses a quartz or bauxite or silicate refractory material as a core, and the core is wrapped by a silicon dioxide coating. A manufacturing method of the compound investment casting refractory material comprises the following steps: after fully mixing particles of the quartz or bauxite or silicate refractory material with a particle size of 10-250 micrometers with silica sol according to a proportion of (0.5-1.9):1, drying and pelleting to obtain the compound investment casting refractory material. When the compound investment casting refractory material is used for preparing a coating, leaching of soluble ions in the particles of the compound investment casting refractory material is effectively prevented, the stability of the prepared coating is greatly improved, the quality of a casting is fully ensured, and a low-cost and high-quality refractory material is provided for casting an investment pattern.
