The invention relates to a preparation method of an opaque glaze. Firstly, the molar number of all alkaline oxides in the formula of the opaque glaze is determined, and then the molar ratio of silicon oxide in the formula is controlled to be 3.00-4.50 and the molar ratio of aluminium oxide in the formula is controlled to be 0.30-0.40, thus the glaze is opacified in an opacifying area to form the opaque glaze. The raw materials adopted by the preparation method are low in cost, the preparation process is simple and is easy to control, and the opaque glaze is high in brightness, thus the preparation method has a wide application prospect.
