The invention discloses a wall plastering machine and a leveling method thereof. The wall plastering machine comprises a travelling mechanism, a mechanical arm, a plastering plate, a positioning device and a control device, wherein the head end of the mechanical arm is rotationally connected with the travelling mechanism; the mechanical arm comprises a plurality of arm sections which are sequentially hinged with one another; the plastering plate is connected with the last arm section of the mechanical arm; the positioning device is used for positioning a wall body reference surface and transmitting a wall body reference surface signal to the control device; the control device is used for outputting a control signal according to the wall body reference surface signal to control the action of the mechanical arm and/or the plastering plate. The wall plastering machine is flexible in operation and wide in plastering range, can also meter under the same standard without manual judgment, and has the advantages of accurate positioning, good construction quality, high automation degree and the like.
