The wall plastering machine comprises a screeding plate which is connected with a rotating mechanism driving the screeding plate to rotate. The wall plastering machine further comprises a light and shadow projecting device, receiving devices and a control device, wherein the light and shadow projecting device is used for projecting a wall datum plane, the receiving devices are located on the first side and the second side of the screeding plate respectively and used for receiving light and shadow signals of the light and shadow projecting device, and the control device is connected with the receiving devices and used for outputting control signals controlling actions of a driving mechanism according to the states of the receiving devices. According to the wall plastering machine and the leveling method thereof, measurement can be carried out under the same standard and does not rely on manual judgments, and the wall plastering machine and the leveling method thereof have the advantages that locating is precise, construction quality is good, and the automation degree is high.
