The invention relates to a technology of waterproofing and insulation of roofing surfaces and in particular relates to a construction method of a waterproof insulation structure of a flat roof. The construction method comprises the following steps: measurement paying; piled brick bricklaying; purlin mounting; roofing tile mounting; ridge tile mounting; and waterproof sealant sealing. The waterproof insulation structure is equivalent to that a layer of roofing in a brick-wood structure is additionally built on a roofing surface, is low in comprehensive cost of materials and construction and strong in anti-aging performance. According to the waterproof insulation structure disclosed by the invention, according to the quality of asbestos shingle supplied in market at present, the aging limit of the waterproof insulation structure at least exceeds 20 years; as an overhead herringbone structure is adopted, the waterproof insulation structure is capable of ensuring that the roofing surface can be warm in winter, cool in summer and beautiful in appearance, effectively resisting influences of unfavorable factors in nature including rains, snows, winds, frosts, solar radiation and temperature change and ensuring that the interior of a building has a good using environment.
