The invention discloses a drill rod for expanded-base threaded pile construction. The drill rod comprises an inner pipe, an outer pipe, a bottom cover and a plurality of drilling tips, wherein the outer pipe is arranged outside the inner pipe in a sleeving manner, the bottom cover is separably matched with the lower end of the inner pipe, the plurality of drilling tips are pivotally mounted on the outer pipe and are between a closed position and an open position in the circumferential direction of the outer pipe, and at the closed position, the front one of every two adjacent drilling tips is hasped to the rear one in the circumferential direction of the outer pipe so as to form a rotary cutting edge. The drill rod provided by the embodiment of the invention has the functions of drilling, wall protection and hole expansion, and the problem that holes are difficultly formed in a complicated and unstable soil layer is solved.
