The invention relates to high quartz domestic ceramic as well as a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing quartz, feldspar powder, kaolin and talcum powder, adding bentonite and sodium humate, and then adding water and grinding and ball-milling to obtain pug sieved by a 250-mesh sieve; carrying out magnetic separation to remove iron by using a magnetic separator and preparing the pug into pug stripes by using a vacuum pug mill; and molding and drying the pug by virtue of machining and molding, raising the temperature of a firing furnace to 100 DEG C, fettling and putting the blank into the firing furnace at 100 DEG C for sintering, and polishing, spraying glaze and selecting ceramic whiteware and adding color and firing to obtain the high quartz daily ceramic. The high quartz domestic ceramic provided by the invention has the advantages that the high quartz domestic ceramic is good in mechanical strength, high in hardness of glaze surface and good in thermal stability, and has the characteristics of good whiteness and high transparency; the mechanical strength is greater than 140mp<2>, and the thermal stability is 240 DEG C; the high quartz domestic ceramic put in water at 240 DEG C for heat exchange three times is not cracked, the whiteness is greater than 120 degrees, and the high quartz domestic ceramic is suitable for daily use of hotels, restaurants and families.
