The invention provides an external wall thermal insulation board which comprises a fire-retardant layer used as a base layer, a thermal insulation layer arranged on the outer side of the fire-retardant layer, an external decoration plate arranged on the outer side of the thermal insulation layer and a connecting pin plate which is consistent with the external wall thermal insulation board in thickness. The end of the fire-retardant layer, the end of the thermal insulation layer and the end of the external decoration plate are arranged to be in a groove shape. The fire-retardant layer and the external decoration plate are provided with protrusion edge parts, and the thermal insulation layer is provided with an inward-concave part. A positioning through hole is formed in the protrusion edge part of the external decoration plate. The cross section of the connecting pin plate is in a crossed shape, and the side portion of the connecting pin plate is matched with the groove of the external wall thermal insulation board. A fixing hole is further formed in the corresponding position of the positioning through hole of the external decoration plate. The connecting pin plate is matched with the groove of the thermal insulation board, plugging is convenient, construction is fast and convenient, the engineering labor intensity and difficulty are low, the construction period is shorter, the external wall thermal insulation board is fixed into the fixing hole through a screw and the positioning through hole, fixing is firm, and disengaging is not likely to happen in long-time using.
