The invention discloses a roof planting structure. The roof planting structure comprises a building, wherein an enclosure for encircling the top by a lap is mounted at the outer edge of the top of the building; steel frames are respectively fixed and mounted in four corner positions of the enclosure; glass steels are respectively mounted on adjacent two steel frames; the steel frames and the glass steels are combined to form wind break walls; herringbone planting plates are mounted in the wind break walls; the bottom ends of the planting plates and the bottom ends of the glass steels are contacted and mounted; drain holes penetrating through the glass steels are formed in the connected positions of the planting plates at the top of the building and the bottom ends of the glass steels; drain pipes vertically downwards along the building are arranged in the four corner positions of the enclosure; and water flows down along with the inclined planting plates, flows between the enclosure and the wind break walls by the drain holes, and flows down along the drain pipes. The structure is provided with the wind break walls for stopping wind without stopping light; and green plants planted on the planting plates are positioned in a space defined by the wind break walls, and can reliably grow therein.
