The invention discloses a preparation method of sky-blue zirconia ceramic. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding neodymium oxide powder to zirconia powder which serves as a ceramic matrix material as a coloring agent; adding a binder and forming a mixture; preparing a ceramic body from the mixture; and carrying out multi-stage sintering treatment on the ceramic body to obtain a sky-blue zirconia ceramic product, wherein the multi-stage sintering treatment at least comprises the following steps: firstly, sintering at the temperature range of room temperature to 600 DEG C for 7-9 hour, sintering at 600-1200 DEG C for 4-8 hours, and then sintering at 1200-1500 DEG C for 6-8 hours. According to the preparation method of the sky-blue zirconia ceramic, zirconia can be stably colorized into sky blue by a pigment at a high temperature under the premise of ensuring fully dense sintering of the zirconia; and meanwhile, relatively low preparation cost is kept.
