The invention provides a quartz micropowder anti-skinning spray coating. The quartz micropowder anti-skinning spray coating is composed of quartz micropowder, alpha aluminium oxide micropowder, magnesium aluminate spinel fine powder, pure calcium aluminate cement, explosion-proof fibre and an adhesive. The invention simultaneously provides a preparation method of the quartz micropowder anti-skinning spray coating. The preparation method comprises the steps of uniformly mixing raw materials and adding auxiliary materials step by step and uniformly mixing. The quartz micropowder anti-skinning spray coating disclosed by the invention can be used for repairing and coating a castable in a rotary kiln conveniently and rapidly when construction conditions are harsh; and furthermore, the quartz micropowder anti-skinning spray coating has good anti-skinning property and thermal shock resistance property.
