The foundation pit protecting support comprises a locking beam, a plurality of bracing pole groups, a tensioning wire, two stranding machines, a measuring device and an automatic control device, wherein the locking beam closely attaches to the surface of a foundation pit, the two stranding machines are located at two ends of the locking beam, the bracing pole groups are vertically fixed on the locking beam, rollers are disposed at the top ends of the bracing pole groups, one end of the tensioning wire is fixed on one of the stranding machines, and the other end of the tensioning wire is fixed on the other stranding machine after passing the rollers; the measuring device is mounted on the foundation pit and electrically connected with the automatic control device, and the automatic control device is electrically connected with the two stranding machines. Compared with the prior art, the foundation pit protecting support has the advantages that the foundation pit protecting support is provided with the measuring device for monitoring the states of the foundation pit, the automatic control device controls the two stranding machines to work to adjust the pull force of the tension wire so as to adjust the acting force to the foundation pit when the foundation pit moves, and balance is achieved.
