New cationic asphalt emulsifier N-(3-nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (10)-2-hydroxy) propyl-N, N, N-triethyl ammonium chloride can be synthesized by one step reaction of NP-10 (nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether), triethylamine and epichlorohydrin, and best reaction process conditions for synthesis of the asphalt emulsifier can be obtained. The CMC value of the target product is 4.26 x 10<-4>mol / L, and is small. Under the critical micelle concentration (CMC), the surface tension is 29.11mN / M. The synthetic emulsifier is a fast crack type asphalt emulsifier, and can be widely used in the adhesive layer, fog seal layer, non solvent cold mixing, recycling of asphalt and asphalt pavement substrate stabilizing.
