Disclosed are a vehicle sunroof control system and a vehicle sunroof control method. The control system comprises a rainfall sensor, a rainfall monitoring electronic control unit and a vehicle body control module. The rainfall sensor connected with the rainfall monitoring electronic control unit is used for collecting rainfall conditions outside a vehicle and converting the rainfall conditions into rainfall signals; the rainfall monitoring electronic control unit connected with the vehicle body control module is used for acquiring the rainfall signals from the rainfall sensor, determining the rainfall state when the rainfall signals exceed a preset threshold value and sending rainfall events to the vehicle body control module; the vehicle body control module is used for executing sunroof actions when receiving the rainfall events from the rainfall monitoring electronic control unit. The vehicle sunroof control system and the vehicle sunroof control method have the advantages that the vehicle body control module is not needed for monitoring of the rainfall signals, so that the vehicle body control module can be dormant after flameout of the vehicle to reduce power consumption, and requirements of a vehicle framework can be met.
