The invention relates to the technical field of chemical engineering building materials and especially relates to a phosphogypsum base material imitation jade board and a preparation method thereof. By means of design of a proper matching ratio of following raw materials: phosphogypsum, sand, cement, fly ash, glass fibers and an imitation jade coating, the phosphogypsum and the fly ash and the like wastes can be activated in the presence of the glass fibers, the cement and the sand, thereby improving the activity of the wastes and especially reducing the relative contents of soluble impurities in the phosphogypsum. The preparation method is excellent in a solidification performance of the phosphogypsum and the cement, can improve strength and quality of a product, can reduce radioactivity of the product, can enhance the corrosion resistant performance of the product and can reduce the production cost of the imitation jade board.
