The invention relates to a main power building of a thermal power plant. The main power building comprises a steam engine room, a bunker room and a deoxidizing room which are arranged in the vertical direction from the bottom to the top successively. A coal feeder and a first heater are arranged in the bunker room, and a coal hopper is arranged in the deoxidizing room. The steam engine room, the deoxidizing room and the bunker room are combined into the main power building, the separation condition is prevented, the main power building span is shortened greatly, the occupied ground area and the pipe use number of the main power building are reduced, and the power building total construction cost is reduced.
