The invention relates to a cement grinding aid and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the field of chemical construction materials. The cement grinding aid is composed of the following components in percentage by weight: 5 to 15% of polyethylene glycol, 20 to 45% of polymeric osamine, 30 to 50% of sodium sulfate solution, 5 to 15% of polymeric polyol, and 18 to 39% of water. The provided cement grinding aid contains polymeric osamine, and thus is more adaptable than the conventional cement grinding aids, and moreover the polymeric osamine is easy to preserve. Moreover, the provided cement grinding aid can enable the cement to have a better fluidity, the cement modified by the grinding aid can prominently improve the rheological property of concrete, at the same time the provided cement grinding aid can be compatible with additives used in the cement, and thus the problems that the conventional cement grinding aids are not compatible with the concrete additives and the selectivity of the conventional cement grinding aids is strong are solved.
