The invention discloses a wind-induced vibration inhibition structure for blunt-section bridge tower structures, which relates to bridge construction technology. The two right angles of one side of a blunt section are cut off, so that the bridge tower section becomes a section form with right-angled chamfers; moreover, the right-angled chamfers are continuously arranged along a bridge tower; the length of each right-angled chamfer is about one sixteenth to one seventeenth of the length of the bridge tower section, and the width of each right-angled chamfer is about one eighth to one ninth of the width of the bridge tower section. The wind-induced vibration inhibition structure changes the characteristic of air flow around the bridge tower, remarkably enhances the galloping stability of the blunt-section bridge tower, is simple and economical, and is convenient to construct.
